Sherry Farr Best was born July 25 into at least five Alabama generations on both sides of her family. Sherry is married to Raymond Best, Birmingham native who works as independent insurance agent of Best Insurance Agency. Sherry and Raymond have been married for 26 years. Each an only child, both had 2 children when they met, making Sherry's wish for a large family come true. Sherry' has two sons Dr. Robert Cargile a radiologist in St. Louis and Kelly Cargile who is married to Christy and has two children, Austin, 11 and Mackenzie, 9. They reside in Charlotte, NC. Along with Sherry's children Raymond has one son Keith Best and wife Brook who along with their 3 children Britten 7, Chestney 3, and Cade, 10 months. They reside in Trussville. Keith along with is administrative duties at the Downtown Church of Birmingham will be starting a career in insurance with his dad. Daughter Kristen Best Thrasher and husband Joey have two children Alex, 13 and Camryn, 9. Kristin works for her dad in the insurance business as well. With an empty nest Raymond and Sherry attention is now with their pets Teddy and Sassy.

Sherry and Raymond have lived in Greystone for 13 years, first building in Founders then moving to Legacy five years ago. They moved to Greystone after hearing what a great neighborhood it was going to be, and have loved it since.

Sherry is involved in the Greystone Ladies Club where she has served as President, Treasurer, and Vice President positions. Sherry feels it is a great place to meet people of all ages.

Sherry has been in the Real Estate business for 30 years and loves her work. After heart problems three years ago Sherry has recently added a business parter, Matt Robinson to help her, but has not changed her love of the business or reduced her knowledge. Sherry has no plans for retirement, but is smelling the roses a bit more now.

Sherry has a degree from Jacksonville State University as well has owning the Real Estate Magazine for 14 years where she grew it for a 32 page black and white news print to 150 page color magazine all from the basement of her home.

Sherry's philosophy is simple; Do unto others as you would have them do unto you! Treat every one equally. Love God, family, and friends, but also love yourself. Sherry also loves the quote:
